How can I make sure my product has antimicrobial properties?
When it comes to launching antimicrobial treated products, microbiological testing according to international and recognized standards is essential. Needless to say, that effective antimicrobial solutions require testing to be successfully developed and marketed.
For us, performance is crucial, that’s why our experienced team is always happy to analyse your formulations and share details about the degree of your products capabilities. Because knowing how antimicrobial is your formulation will make the difference. Standards such as ISO 22196, ISO 20743 or ASTM E149, among others are frequently followed at our laboratory.
Apart from testing in a trusted laboratory, there are other tools that will help you to put in the market a realiable and outstanding product. Our new products BactiBlock 920 B4 – T and BactiBlock 101 R4.47 – T based on the taggant BactiBlock technology can be detected thanks to a laser pen. These additives are readily incorporated into polymeric and other matrix. When irradiated with energy of a specific wavelength, the particles absorb the energy and re-emit it in a different part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Therefore, you will be able to see and show the presence of BactiBlock into your products and, hence, make sure your surface is protected. Either from a quality control point of view or from a marketing approach, this new complementary functionality is definitely worth considering.
Please get in touch with us for further information about our Taggant BactiBlock® solutions, we will be more than happy to help you!
